1. Who we are
Provable.io ("Provable", "we", "us") is a random number generation service operated by RedPkt. You can reach us at support@provable.io. By creating an account or using the API you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy.
2. The service
Provable.io exposes a public HTTP API for generating cryptographically verifiable random floats and integers. Anonymous calls are free and unmetered. Authenticated calls (using an API key issued from your dashboard) are attributed to your account and subject to a per-account daily quota.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the digital age of consent in your country) to create an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and API keys confidential. Treat API keys like passwords. You can revoke a compromised key at any time from your dashboard.
- One account per person or organization. We may suspend or close duplicate or abusive accounts.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- Attempt to overload, probe, or disrupt the service (denial-of-service attacks, automated scraping past published rate limits, etc.).
- Use generated outcomes for unlawful gambling, financial-instrument settlement, or any purpose prohibited in your jurisdiction.
- Reverse-engineer or interfere with the cryptographic verification chain in a way that misrepresents outcomes as fair when they are not.
- Resell the API as a wrapper service without written permission.
We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uptime. The service is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind. You should not use Provable.io as the sole source of randomness for systems where downtime would cause material harm without independent fallback.
6. Fees
The service is currently free for both anonymous and authenticated use, subject to the published daily quota. We may introduce paid tiers in the future; if we do, we will give existing users at least 30 days' notice by email before any account-affecting change takes effect.
7. Your data
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. You can export your outcome history and delete your account at any time from the dashboard.
8. Intellectual property
The Provable.io name, logo, and website are ours. The core random generation library is published as open source under its repository license (see GitHub) and is governed by that license, not by these Terms.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Provable.io and RedPkt will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or revenues, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and (b) USD 100.
10. Termination
You can close your account at any time from the dashboard. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a security or legal risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., 5, 8, 9) will survive.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
